Submissions
AMP is always looking for new creators and new proposals that match the AMP ethos: big, bold ideas, with characters that leap off the page.
AMP takes submissions all year long. We’re not looking for any specific genre or style of book, AMP is open to anything as long it has a good story and excellent art. Due to the high volume of submissions it can take upwards of 6 months to get a response.
AMP Comics believes in human creators, for this reason we do not take AI generated art and will not publish any projects which include AI generated art. AMP maintains the right to cancel a project if we discover it has used AI generated art.
Portfolio Submissions
Please include 5 pages of completed, inked sequential art – color is optional. These pages should showcase clear, dynamic storytelling and character expressions. Ensure the pages flow smoothly and clearly convey the narrative. Ensure all artwork is high-quality and properly formatted. Digital submissions should be in high resolution (300 dpi) and compiled into a single PDF. Organize your portfolio logically, starting with your strongest pieces. Use clean, easy-to-read fonts and layouts for text elements. Please do not send original art. We do not have the ability to return it.
Series Proposals
A series proposal should include a cover letter, art samples, logline, synopsis and series outline.
Your cover letter should summarize the project and your pervious work. Include contact information with your letter including name, e-mail address, address and phone numbers.
For your logline please craft a one-sentence summary of your story’s premise that captures the essence and hook of your comic. This should be intriguing and concise, providing a clear sense of the story's main appeal. A good logline should make the reader want to know more immediately.
For your sample provide a brief overview (1-2 pages) outlining the plot, main characters, and key conflicts. Focus on the core story and its unique aspects. Make sure the synopsis highlights the unique elements of your story and what makes it compelling. Break down the beginning, middle, and end succinctly.
In your outline include a brief outline of the story arc, detailing major plot points for the first 6-12 issues. This helps the publisher understand the long-term vision of your comic. Include information on character development, major twists, and the overall narrative arc. Explain how each issue will build on the previous one and maintain reader interest.
Provide 5-10 pages of consecutive art (penciled, inked and lettered; color optional) to showcase what your story will look like. Also include a cover mock-up.
